Celebrating the life of
Robin L. (Blackfield) Clarke
May 26, 1955 - November 16, 2024
Robin L. (Blackfield) Clarke, 69, died peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Candler St Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Robin was born in Chicago, Illinois on the 26th day of May, 1955. The 1st born daughter of 3, to Roy G. Blackfield and Joyce B. (Ahlstrand) Blackfield. Robin attended Syracuse University and graduated with honors. She was a very successful self-employed sales agent for high end art and furniture companies where her customers and colleagues became her lifelong friends.
In 1982, Robin married the love of her life Theodore (Ted) Smith Clarke in Darien, CT and began their 42-year married life soon thereafter on Wilmington Island, Georgia. Robin and Ted developed many friends in the Savannah area that will miss her cherished friendship. Robin was a wonderful dog mom to her special pets, Beth, Sparky, Rascal and Lilly her Standard Poodles. She was also an accomplished dressage equestrian and a horse mom to her beloved Red Bird and Longstreet.
In addition to her husband Ted and her beloved poodle Lily, Robin leaves behind 2 sisters and their husbands Tracey Smith (David), Sandy Hook, CT and Allison McKinnon (Jeffrey), Park City, Utah. Her nephews Nicholas David Edward Smith (Andrea), Jeffrey A. McKinnon and Clarke R. Mckinnon. Along with her 2 nieces Taylor Joy Smith and Kiley McKinnon who will all miss their Aunt Robin dearly. There are many nieces and nephews in the Atlanta area on the Clarke side of the family that will also miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Robin would have wanted donations to charities of your choice that include Standard Poodles Rescue or the American Cancer Society.

I was shocked & saddened to learn of Robin's passing. I will cherish our office conversations when she visited GA on regular occasions. She always had her glasses on top of her head and a smile on her face and we would catch up like no time had passed. She was a valued colleague and friend. We have lost a precious soul!
